NYX Epic Ink Liner (Black)
This is our absolute backstage holy grail for showgirl makeup.
It is proper black - as black as Vicky’s heart (apparently), and it stays put under hot lights, sweat, and general panto mayhem.
The brush tip makes it easy to get a sharp wing even when you are doing it in a dressing-room panic with the Stage Manger shouting “five minutes”.
We’ve tried loads.
We always come back to this.
Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick - Mary Jo
This is our go-to proper red for stage.
It’s a blue-based red, so it looks bold under lights and makes your teeth look ridiculously white - which is always a win in close-up panto moments.
It’s genuinely long-lasting. We’ve tried loads of “all-night” reds over the years, and in our opinion, this one beats them all.
We don’t use the lip kit - just the lipstick - and we pair it with a MAC liner.
When we need a red that won’t budge, this is the one.
